Data Deletion

Last updated: May 28, 2026

You can ask Happy Hoppers Square Dance Club (“Happy Hoppers,” “we,” “us”) to remove your account and the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains what we store, how to request deletion, and what happens after.

What we store

When you create an account on this site — including via Facebook, Google, Apple, or Microsoft sign-in — we keep your name, email address, your role at the club, any profile photo you upload, and content you post (chat messages, RSVPs, registrations). We never receive your social-provider password, your contacts, or your friends list.

How to request deletion

Send us a request from our contact page. Use the address linked to your Happy Hoppers account, put “Data deletion request” in the subject line, and mention which social provider you used to sign in (Facebook, Google, etc.) so we can match your account quickly.

What gets removed

  • Your account record (name, email, role, profile photo).
  • Lesson registrations, RSVPs, and any survey submissions tied to you.
  • Chat messages you authored, plus any reactions you added.
  • The link between your Happy Hoppers account and your social-provider identity.

We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself (date, the email it came from) for our own audit purposes. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics that cannot be traced back to you may remain.

How long it takes

We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your request. You’ll get a confirmation email once it’s done. If you’d like a copy of your data before deletion, mention that in the same email and we’ll send it before removing the account.
