The next set of beginner square dance lessons will begin in September.
The first lesson is always free, so why not give it a try!
Students are encouraged to get "floor time." This is possible by attending dances hosted by other clubs. For students there are level dances (doesn't include all square dance calls).
Here are 2 links to events for those who are new to square dancing. Of course, all who know square dancing are invited.

Another way to get floor time is to set your sights a Round Tuit dangle.
All you have to do is dance at 10 different clubs in Mt. Baker Council within 1 year. Present the signature sheet at the sign in desk of the club you visit to collect a signature. Just 10 will do it. Click here for the form:
No Experience Dances
Whirlybirds has first Friday Fun Fest each month. One of the activities is to keep your square going as the calls get faster - last square standing gets a coveted Hot-Hash Ho-Down dangle. Bertha and Patty are two recent recipients
We also have social events throughout the year - from summer picnic to Student Appreciation Social in November. Square dancing is a fun way to meet new friends while staying active, challenging the mind and the body.
Congratulations graduating class!

Lessons
Our beginner lessons run for roughly 30 weeks each fall and spring, meeting once a week at the South Lake Stevens Grange. You don't need a partner — angels (experienced dancers) rotate in to fill in.
The lesson series covers the Mainstream calls — the standard moves that let you drop into a Mainstream dance anywhere in the country.
Affordable per-session pricing; the club keeps fees low because we want lessons to be accessible. Specifics are announced each season.
